Out of Focus ha ha-it sure is!

This is a very poor quality video. I found out some things I could have done to make it better after I made it. I used Photostory which is available on our SPSD computers. It is extremely easy to use (both images and recording the narration of the first paragraph of the novel). I made this video in just a few minutes. Unfortunately I do not have any of my own photos to use and the school camera was not available so resorted to Google Images. I am aware I am probably breaking someone's copyright on one or all of the four photos I copied. I will remove this video from my blog and replace it with something with no copyright issues. I just wanted something done so I could use the support of the Wednesday group to get this posted. I wanted to go through the process of saving it and posting it even though I am not proud of the product. You don't have to be kind with your comments.

What are you talking about - "You don't have to be kind with your comments". This was awesome. You have inspired me to check out this program. I love how there was zooming in & out, up & down on the photos. So cool!!!

Wow - very compelling - kids will be fighting to get the book. Sometimes the simplest ideas are the most effective!

I'm impressed. I tried to use our Photstory and I can't get mine to post. I agree the focus is dreadful but it fits your title so well. I was skimming down the blogs to find out how others got the assignment done. Yours is about 15th on the list and yours is the first video that is there. I think you should be proud of yourself.

I also thought it was very effective.

Okay! Way too hard on yourself! The unfocused images, in my opinion, add to the excerpt you choose. The viewer was using the lens of Celia on another binge and then of Bernie's overwhelming responsibility to look after the family. Conflict and irresponsibility - certainly a family that is out of focus!
